Key Responsibilities

Audit planning and risk assessment

Internal control walkthroughs

Audit testing

Financial statement audit areas

Audit workpaper preparation

Accounting Standards

Research and apply applicable U.S. GAAP requirements.

Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards.

Evaluate accounting treatment for unusual or complex transactions.

Research accounting topics and prepare technical accounting memoranda where necessary.

Audit Standards

Depending on the engagement, assist in ensuring compliance with applicable auditing standards, including:

AICPA auditing standards

Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)

Government Auditing Standards, where applicable

PCAOB standards for applicable engagements

Firm audit methodology and quality-control requirements

Key Performance Expectations

A Senior Accountant will generally be evaluated based on

Quality of audit documentation

Accuracy of work

Number and severity of review comments

Ability to identify audit risks

Timely completion of assignments

Audit budget performance

Ability to supervise junior staff

Client communication

Technical accounting knowledge

Ability to resolve audit issues independently

Compliance with professional and firm standards

Reliability during busy season

Contribution to engagement completion

What We’re Looking For

Currently pursuing CA or having back papers in the CA examination

CA/ACCA/CAP students are preferred

Good understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial statements

Good working knowledge of Excel/Spreadsheets

Strong communication and numerical accuracy

Knowledge of U.S. GAAP or IFRS is preferred

Strong attention to detail

Willingness to learn and meet deadlines

Shift Requirement

This is a night-shift position from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, aligned with U.S. business hours. Candidates should be comfortable working during these hours while maintaining accuracy and focus.
