Centre for Mental Health and Counselling – Nepal

(CMC-Nepal) is a national-level NGO working to promote mental health,

psychosocial well-being and community-based mental health services across

Nepal.

CMC-Nepal invites qualified Nepali professionals to apply

for its roster of Psychologists and Psychosocial Counsellors for

possible project-based engagement across Nepal.

Engagement will depend on project needs, funding, location

requirements, and the candidate’s qualifications, experience and availability.

Project-based/Contractual, as per programme

requirements

Key Responsibilities include counselling, assessment,

referral, supervision, training, coordination, documentation and reporting

related to mental health and psychosocial support in schools, communities and

project locations.

Qualification and Experience include a Master’s

degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or a relevant discipline,

at least two years of relevant experience, strong counselling/facilitation

skills, report writing and documentation skills, computer proficiency, and willingness

to work in remote field locations.

Project-based/Contractual, as per programme

requirements

Key Responsibilities include awareness sessions,

individual and group counselling, follow-up and referrals, community

coordination, documentation, reporting and field visits.

Qualification and Experience include a Bachelor’s

degree in a relevant discipline with recognized psychosocial counselling

training, at least two years of relevant experience, strong counselling and

coordination skills, basic computer skills, reporting ability in English and

Nepali, and willingness to travel to remote areas.

General Requirements

Commitment to inclusion,

safeguarding, confidentiality, human rights and CMC-Nepal policies is required.

Experience working with local governments, schools, health facilities and

communities will be an advantage.

Salary and benefits will be provided in accordance with

the relevant project agreement, approved budget and CMC-Nepal’s policies

and will depend on the position, qualifications, experience and nature of

engagement.

This roster process does not guarantee immediate employment.

location and suitability.
