The role requires someone who can take raw footage and transform it into polished content through effective editing, storytelling, pacing, transitions, graphics, sound, and visual enhancement.The Video Editor will work on different types of content, including short form videos, Reels, TikTok content, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos, social media campaigns, interviews, and other digital content based on business requirements.The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of modern social media content trends and know how editing styles differ across platforms. You should be comfortable working independently from raw footage through final delivery while also being able to follow creative briefs, brand guidelines, and feedback.Creativity is important, but so are speed, organization, and consistency. The selected candidate should be capable of managing multiple editing assignments, maintaining organized project files, meeting deadlines, and producing content that meets expected quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesVideo Editing and Production• Edit raw video footage into polished and engaging final content.• Handle the complete editing process from footage organization through final export.• Create appropriate cuts, transitions, pacing, and sequencing based on the purpose of each video.• Ensure videos communicate the intended message clearly and effectively.• Edit promotional, educational, informational, and social media content as required.• Maintain visual consistency across different videos and campaigns.Social Media Content• Edit short form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and other digital platforms.• Adapt videos according to platform specific formats and content requirements.• Create engaging openings and maintain appropriate pacing for short form content.• Add subtitles, captions, graphics, and other visual elements when required.• Understand current video and social media content trends.• Optimize content for different aspect ratios and publishing formats.Motion Graphics and Visual Elements• Create basic motion graphics and animated elements when required.• Add titles, lower thirds, text animations, transitions, and branded visual elements.• Work with Adobe After Effects or similar tools when required.• Ensure graphics complement the video rather than distracting from the core message.Audio and Visual Enhancement• Clean and balance audio to maintain clear sound quality.• Add appropriate background music and sound effects when required.• Synchronize audio and video accurately.• Perform basic color correction and visual adjustments.• Maintain consistent visual quality across footage captured in different environments.Creative Collaboration• Understand creative briefs and translate concepts into effective video outputs.• Coordinate with content, marketing, design, and other relevant teams.• Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently.• Suggest editing approaches that could improve storytelling and engagement.• Support the development of new video concepts when required.File and Asset Management• Maintain organized project files, footage, graphics, audio, and final exports.• Follow appropriate naming and file management practices.• Maintain backups of important project files when required.• Export videos according to required resolution, format, and platform specifications.Quality Control• Review videos carefully before final delivery.• Check spelling, subtitles, audio synchronization, graphics, transitions, and visual quality.• Ensure final content follows brand guidelines and creative requirements.• Correct technical or creative issues before submission.
