📋 Job Description

SDF is a non-profit making, non-political, right based social organization established in 1998. It works for poor people to create prosperous and self dependent society

Social Development Forum (SDF), established in 1998 in Banke District, Nepal, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded by a group of committed social workers and educators in response to the growing challenges posed by poverty, caste-based discrimination, superstition, gender inequality, and environmental degradation. Over more than 26 years of continuous presence in Banke, SDF has broadened its focus to include health, education, livelihood, food security, and disaster risk reduction initiatives, recognizing their critical role in building resilient and empowered communities, while strengthening its institutional mechanisms, accountability systems, and dedicated team along the way. The organization has implemented impactful programs such as Anticipatory Action, in partnership with Save the Children, aimed at reducing the immediate suffering and long-term vulnerability of children and communities facing climate-related emergencies, as well as RePLANT, an agricultural innovation initiative delivered in collaboration with iDE Nepal.

SDF is currently implementing the HATEMALO for Child Wellbeing and Integrated Development Project in partnership with World Vision International Nepal (WVI Nepal) in the Narainapur and Janaki Rural Municipalities of Banke district, covering child sponsorship, health, nutrition, education, and child protection, and integrates cross-cutting themes such as gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), environmental sustainability, conflict sensitivity, and transparency and accountability across all of its interventions.

Building on this experience and its long-standing partnership with WVI Nepal, SDF is now preparing to implement the RISE Project in Banke district, a disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response initiative funded by the US Government, in partnership with WVI Nepal. In this connection, SDF invites applications from qualified, competent, and motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions based in Banke district.

Detailed job descriptions for each position are attached / enclosed herewith.

SDF is responsible for protecting children and adults from any form of abuse and exploitation. Rigorous background checks are carried out as part of our selection process.
