Sindhuli Integrated Development Services Nepal (SIDS/Nepal) is a national, non-profitmaking, non- political and secular organization. SIDS/Nepal is continuously being supported by different national, international donors and I/NGOs as well as government of Nepal.
In partnership with Childaid Network Foundation Nepal, Sindhuli Integrated Development Services (SIDS Nepal) is implementing the Kopila II Project in Sindhuli District. The project aims to promote equitable access to quality education by fostering safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environments, strengthening teaching and learning practices, empowering parents and communities, and enhancing the responsiveness of local education systems.
SIDS invites applications from qualified, dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Nepali citizens for the following position:
Posiiton
Sr. Finance Officer -1 No.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, administration, and operations management within NGOs, INGOs, or donor-funded projects.
Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and audit coordination.
Proven experience in managing procurement, administrative systems, asset and inventory management, and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Experience working with financial management software (preferably FAMAS) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Experience coordinating with project teams, donors, auditors, government authorities, vendors, and other stakeholders to support effective project implementation.
Major Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure that all financial transactions and data are correctly implemented according to donor/ organization’s policies and procedures.
Support and ensure all the payments are made following proper financial procedures.
Ensure proper supporting documents for expense verification
Preparation and administration of payroll adhering the required compliance.
Issuance and settlement of of employee advance.
Reconciliation of payable and receivable ledger.
Preparation of bank reconciliation, Payment authorization sheet and, Keep the scan copy of voucher and submit to donor.
Identifying alternatives and facilitating access to the ‘best value for money’ for all products and services.
Ensure major / recurring procurements are under strategic sourcing initiative;
Propose innovative solutions to increase efficiency through evidence-based analysis for consumption by financial and operational dimensions, including price, quality and service.
Support in improving spending behavior, process, utilization, and optimize total throughout yield.
Ensure internal control measures are in place and are followed appropriately.
Assist in all type of audit (Internal, donor, and external)
Monitor budget utilization and expenditure trends to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of project resources.
Ensure compliance with donor agreements, organizational policies, financial procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Oversee day-to-day administrative functions of the project office and ensure a safe, efficient, and productive working environment.
Coordinate closely with finance team at Childaid Network Foundation Nepal, project staff, auditors, government agencies, financial institutions, and service providers.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Program manager or management in line with project and organizational priorities.
